Confessions of a vintage shop-aholic... 

Like so many other vintage
clothing aficionados, the love affair with vintage clothes began
very young, initiated by a thrifting grandmother, and further honed by Mom, who was something of an expert at unearthing treasures. Regularly coming home with fabulous dress-up booty - everything from luscious, frothy 1950's crinolines and evening gowns to fur stoles and costume jewelry - resulted in a dress-up collection the envy of all my girl friends. 

Through the years, the obsession with fashion naturally took on much grander proportions, which were held in check only by storage constraints. A vast inability to leave a beautiful piece on the rack, regardless of whether it fit or not, led to having to consign many of those precious pieces. 

Needless to say, our great 'appreciation' for fashion persists to this day, and this web site is an opportunity to share the results of our treasure hunts with other appreciative souls through cyberspace. I hope you enjoy your time here at Retrodress.
