1970s Ilie Wacs Mohair Coat

After designing for Originala for years, Ilie Wacs' talent blossomed when began designing under his own label in the mid 1970s.  His designs became just a little more hip and a little less staid, if they could ever have been called that.  This mohair coat, in a mink and ivory herringbone has that lean, sleek styling that the seventies were all about.  An open front design, it closes with a belt tied at the waist, and has vertical welted pockets at either hip.  That's it - nothing else to clutter the clean line. Lined in bronze satin, the bust measures up to 40", hip to 44", shoulder 16", sleeve 24", length 49". Belt is 59" long. Excellent condition.  sold
