1940s Black Wool Crepe Coat

One of the really glaring things that sets vintage pieces apart from their modern counterparts is the fabric.  Comparatively speaking, modern fabrics pale next to their vintage cousins. The fabric that this coat is cut from is a perfect example. A mid weight wool crepe with a texture like a bird's eye, the hand is incredibly supple - amazing. Princess seamed, the cut is curvy and slim fitting through the bodice, flaring from the hip to the hem.  The bodice has a herringbone pattern woven into it, a padded shoulder, and a delicate little shawl collar with four buttons with bound buttonholes running to the waist. Black satin lining. The bust measures 34", waist 30", hip 38", shoulder 14", sleeve, 25", length 43".  $425
