1970s Halston Blue Ultrasuede Wrap Coat

Roy Halston Frowick could undoubtedly have taken a burlap sack and made something amazing to wear out of it. That kind of genius at his craft gave Halston a loyal and worshipful  following that persists to this day. One of Halston's early mediums was using Ultra suede. An otherwise unpretentious fabric, under Halston's hand it became chic and stylish. Designed in cornflower blue Ultra suede, this coat is a study in Halston's minimalism, a simple wrap style with an elasticized waist with a hook and bar closure, and a wide sash wrap tie. Collarless with a dolman sleeve, and vertical inseam pockets, it is unlined. The bust measures a 34", waist 28", hip 36",  with a sleeve length center back to cuff of 28", and a length of 36".  Best on a   modern size 4 or slender 6. Excellent condition.  $375
