1950s Schiaparelli Persian Lamb Coat with Mink Collar

We love the yin and yang vibe of this coat - not only the white mink collar against the black persian lamb - but in the tactile effect as well.  The persian lamb is impossibly soft, and the deep white mink collar is plush, every inch of this coat begs to be caressed.  If you know furs, and we don't necessarily, but do listen to our infinitely knowledgeable furrier when she attempts to teach us - Schiap's furs were among the best, and all we can say is that judging by this one, she's absolutely right. Double breasted styling with six black and gold toned buttons, inseam pockets. The somewhat full sleeve has a deep cuff, with an inner elasticized cuff created from the fabric of the lining, so you can turn back the sleeve cuff if you want a bracelet length sleeve. Bust measures 37", hip 39", shoulder 15", sleeve 22" with a 4" cuff to turn back to a length 18", length 38". No label, but the black satin lining has the trademarked Schiaparelli signature all over it, former owner's name is embroidered in white thread on the inside. In excellent condition and like all our furs, has been professionally cleaned and glazed. $435
