1950s Duke of Hollywood Hawaiian Aloha Shirt

We have to say in all sincerity, like other fine vintage clothing, what passes today for a Hawaiian shirt, even those by Tommy Bahama, are bastardizations of  the original. The shirts you might find at Wal-Mart, even the Wal-Mart in Kona, don't compare to the quality, pattern and rich depth of color of a vintage Aloha Shirt. This cotton Aloha shirt, flaunts a subtle hibiscus and plumeria blossom print in shades of orange with faint strokes of gold and black, that, even being 50 years old, is still as vibrant and beautiful as the day it was made.  It has two chest pockets and gold nugget buttons, the last button at the bottom having been replaced. Chest 48", shoulder 19", sleeve 9.5", length 29".  Made for Waikiki Wear by Duke of Hollywood, is in excellent condition, and in a rare larger size.$75
