1970s Gucci Rust Suede/Leather Shoulder Bag

There usually comes a point with every collection that the decision is made to thin it out.  That decision is  an especially difficult one when the collection is vintage Gucci bags. Vintage Gucci bags are so unique they are almost irreplaceable, so it more or less just becomes a question of  trading one bag for another as personal tastes change.  But once you get into vintage Gucci, you learn to recognize one at 50 yards, they're unmistakeable. This neat shoulder bag is made in a rust colored suede with rust leather accents at the clasp and on the hardware on the top of the bag as well as piped around the perimeter of the bag. Demi pouch styling with a pleated bottom, it has a gold toned clasp closure at the front flap, and small gussets on either side of the front to allow easier access to the interior of the bag. The interior is buff colored leather, with one slip pocket and one satin lined zippered pocket (with Gucci fob). The leather shoulder strap is adjustable with a drop of about 14" to 16", and anchors to the bag via a rigid metal and leather spine. Measures 10" wide at the bottom, 9" tall, 4" deep. With the exception of a few pen marks on the interior, and a watermark and a couple tiny, tiny nicks on the edge of the strap - all sounding far worse than they really are, its in excellent condition.  $345
