1980s Emanuel Ungaro Black and White Wool Suit

Emanuel Ungaro’s designs from the 1980s are nearly iconic, and we think this skirt suit neatly nails the style consciousness of the 1980s. In a black and white birdseye woven wool, the cropped blouson jacket is constructed in a modified wrap style with an attached scarf that tosses over the left shoulder. The shoulder is padded and extended, with  a dropped dolman sleeve accented with triple buttons at the cuff. Jacket closes with a hidden button at the right shoulder and two buttons at the waistband, The back of the jacket has a soft pleat on either side of the back waist, and a pair of buttons at either side of the waistband.. The skirt has an extended pocket at each hip, but is otherwise straight and slim with a back zip and vent. Made for Ungaro’s Parallele line, both pieces are fully lined and in excellent condition. Jacket measures:  Bust 40", waist 26", shoulder 16", sleeve 21.5".  Skirt measures:  Waist 25", hip 37", length 28". Though the jacket is a blouson and pretty roomy, we think this works best on about a modern size 6 or slim 8. $285
