1970s Anne Klein Black Silk Suit

When we first started wearing Anne Klein in the Seventies, we thought her clothes were pretty dang nice, but little did we realize then just what a phenomenal designer she was. Anne Klein couldn't have made a wrong move to save her soul, and through the years the label just got better and better, right on up until Donna Karan departed. In black silk duppioni, this suit consists of a smock or modified trapeze styled jacket with a single closure at the neckline, and falling open in front, with  the bodice/shoulder slightly gathered off the round collar. A raglan shoulder, wide sleeves and oversized patch pockets at the hip flatter the easy, flowing cut of the jacket.  The skirt has a front zipper placket, a drawstring tie at the waistband, and hidden welted inseam pockets at the hip. The skirt is fully lined, the jacket is unlined. Beautiful with a skinny ribbed sweater beneath. Jacket: Bust to 44", sleeve (center back to end of sleeve) 28", length 30". Skirt: Waist 29", hip to 40", length 28.5". Both pieces are in excellent, if not flawless condition.  $225
